Company History

Tony S. Townsend founded Carolina Envelope & Printing, Inc. in 1978. His goal was to provide impeccable printed products at a fair price and build lasting business relationships by exceeding each client's expectations. This goal has been diligently pursued, and today, CEP has a reputation for providing excellent products paired with personalized and dependable service.

Wife Carolyn Townsend joined the full time staff in 1982. Daughter Michelle Townsend O'Bryant and husband Matt O'Bryant accepted  positions after college graduation in 1994. Making CEP a true "family" business. Through teamwork and good fortune, we grew rapidly over the years, starting with a 1500 sq. foot facility and four employees to our current facility of 65,000 sq. feet.

In 2007, Carolina Envelope & Printing rebranded itself as CE Print Solutions to better reflect the diverse list of services and capabilities provided to our clients.

2013 marked another milestone in CEP's history. The retirement of Tony and Carolyn brought a new face to the administration team. Jason Barney advanced to head of Sales and business relations. New sales, service and production staff have been added throughout the years. Sadly, only ten years after retirement, our founder Tony passed away in 2023. We still carry on his legacy with pride and look forward to many more years of supporting our customer families.
