A Message from Michelle Townsend O'Bryant
The Way I See It

Let it Grow

I once read a story about a man who planted a tree in his backyard. He had no experience in gardening but was determined to make it grow tall and strong. He watered the tree every day, even when the forecast predicted rain. He pruned the branches constantly, worrying that they were growing unevenly. When the leaves turned yellow, he panicked and doused the tree with fertilizer. But despite his efforts, the tree started to wither. Frustrated, he asked an old gardener for advice. The gardener said, “You’re trying too hard. Let it be.” The man backed off, letting nature take its course. Over time, the tree flourished.

Here’s the way I see it: Sometimes, the best way to help is to step back and trust the process.

Boost Your Marketing Strategy: Turning Negatives into Positives
EXPLORE DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES

People are always searching for fresh ideas to make their print projects stand out. One effective technique is to transform negatives into positives.

By looking at a product or service from different angles, you can uncover hidden advantages and create a compelling story that resonates with your target audience.

Three Ways to Turn Product Negatives Into Positives

Explore these practical methods to help you tap into the potential of negative aspects and turn them into positive selling points in your marketing.

1. See Things Differently

Start by putting yourself in someone else's shoes.

Imagine how different people might view the product's drawbacks as advantages. For example, if you have an unattractive, heavy, and expensive mailbox, consider how a mail carrier, neighbor, dog owner, or celebrity might find value in those characteristics.

By changing your perspective, you can discover fresh insights that lead to creative marketing solutions.

2. Change the Setting

Sometimes, changing the context can completely transform the perception of a product.

Consider how placing the product in a different environment could give its disadvantages a new and interesting meaning. Using the mailbox example, think about unconventional places where it wasn't originally intended to be. What unique purpose could it serve in those settings?

By reimagining the product's context, you can find innovative applications that turn negatives into positives, capturing the attention of your target audience.

3. Innovate to Add Value

Another approach is to enhance the product's functionality by introducing new elements.

Consider what you can add, such as accessories, emotions, or materials, to mitigate its perceived drawbacks. Continuing with the mailbox example, consider how you could improve it to give it a fresh purpose. By being creative, you can turn each negative aspect into a valuable selling point, reshaping how the product is perceived.

Unconventional Marketing

It’s important to break free from traditional thinking and discover new ways to market your products or services.

Turning negatives into positives allows you to explore different perspectives, generate innovative ideas, and transform perceived disadvantages into compelling selling points.

Remember to look at your offerings from various angles, consider different viewpoints, and explore the impact of context and innovation. By implementing these strategies, you'll embark on a creative journey that elevates your print marketing projects and captivates your target audience, ultimately driving business success.

Make Every Email a Marketing Moment
USING YOUR EMAIL SIGNATURE FOR MARKETING

Your email signature isn’t just a formality—it’s a valuable tool for promoting your business and reinforcing your brand with every message you send.

A well-crafted email signature not only provides essential contact information but also serves as a subtle, continuous marketing opportunity. Beyond just including your name, title, and phone number, consider adding the following elements to leverage your email signature for marketing:

  • Your company’s tagline or mission statement

  • A link to your latest blog post, article, or news update

  • A call to action, such as “Sign up for our newsletter” or “Visit our website”

  • Links to your social media profiles

  • A promotional banner for an upcoming event, product launch, or sale

If you’d like tips for great communications in print, our creative team would love to help. Give us a call or drop us an email anytime.

Die-Cut vs. Kiss Cut Stickers
A CREATIVE AND AFFORDABLE MARKETING TOOL

Custom-printed stickers are a creative and affordable marketing tool for promoting your brand. They have endless uses, such as customizing product packaging and adding flair to direct mail marketing materials. They can also be given away to promote your brand at events. Here are the primary differences between two popular sticker options: die-cut and kiss-cut stickers.

Die-cut stickers are cut to the exact shape of your design. The backing is also cut to the same size as the sticker design. Die-cut stickers are popular because clean-cut, unique shapes grab interest and provide a professional aesthetic.

In comparison, kiss-cut stickers are only cut through the sticker and leave the additional paper backing around the sticker intact. The paper backing on a kiss-cut sticker provides edge protection for safe storage and makes the sticker easier to peel off. The backing can also be custom-printed to feature a marketing or promotional message, website, social links, and more.

Standardized Replies
IMPROVE YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE EFFORTS

Carefully crafted, standardized replies to common questions and inquiries can be a great way to improve your tech support and customer service efforts across email, social media, and your help center.

Unlike auto-responses, standardized replies are pre-written content that can be easily customized and sent manually. Using standardized replies ensures fast, brand-consistent responses without discrepancies such as grammatical errors and typos. By slightly modifying messages, customer and client services can reply much quicker with accurate, detailed information and make customers feel heard and valued with personalized details.

Standardized replies are helpful for frequently asked questions, such as warranty inquiries, contact information, or business hours. However, they should not be used if there is any confusion about the customer’s question or if the conversation involves complex or emotional situations. When in doubt, always seek clarification before sending a response.

If you’d like help creating detailed print marketing materials to promote your products and services, our team is here to help! Give us a call or stop by today.
